  W.S.’s musical career began in 1954 at Sun Records as drummer for Carl Perkins and his brothers, J.B. and Clayton. He played on all of Carl’s Sun releases, including the original “Blue Suede Shoes”. Johnny Cash is credited with giving Fluke the name “The Father of the Drums” and would introduce him from the stage as such.

  

• Branson on the Road Johnny Cash Tribute

  Debbie Horton holds the distinction of being the only female in history to play lead guitar for Johnny Cash. A lifelong Cash fan, Debbie learned to play “Luther Style” electric guitar and, as part of the Branson on the Road ensemble show, she does a tribute to Cash on a regular basis. The band is rounded out with Debbie’s husband, Donnie Wright and bass player Brian Capps.

• Guest Chance Martin

  Chance Martin began his professional career as a young man writing and holding cue cards for Johnny Cash as the Man in Black performed on the immensely successful ABC TV series The Johnny Cash Show. Martin went on to work for Cash in other capacities including doing sound for his live concerts around the world.

  Singer, actor, songwriter and DJ, Johnny Western was one of Johnny Cash’s longest-term colleagues both personally and professionally.

  It’s an honor to have Jack Clement on our cruise in a very rare appearance.

  Clement is one of the early pioneers of Rock & Roll and Rockabilly music. He began his career at the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis where as an assistant to Sam Phillips and an engineer he recorded the likes of Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison and, of course, Johnny Cash.
